TJS custom designed Columbian emerald and diamond pendant. This design concept was to enhance the natural 27.55 carat emerald without distracting details. After several sketches and revisions, we decided to add a diamond halo and bail to add contrast. Then we placed the design details and accent diamonds to the back and sides to bring it all together. In order to achieve the best results we had our best carver hand sculpt the wax in separate sections. Then cast in 18k white and yellow gold, clean, polish, solder together, and set each stone. The emerald was set last in yellow gold, and with a form fit seat and heavy prongs this pendant can be worn with confidence. This pendant is even more stunning in person, and turned out to be one of my favorite classic designs.
