TJS custom designing process for a diamond heart pendant. This is a wonderful project that is in process, and my client and his wife were part of each step of the design phase. This was the sketching phase after doing research on heart shapes, types of stone settings, and analyzing the proportions. I used an IPad Pro with Apple Pencil and Procreate designing software to accelerate the sketching process before building in CAD. I decided to take design elements from several contemporary diamond heart pendants, and incorporate modern techniques and tools to enhance the wearability and aesthetics. I designed a modified scalloped setting with tapered melee diamond that would need to be set in stages and use laser soldering methods to give this look. The back uses a slightly wider and heavier base to help prevent flipping, and there are engraved script with sapphires for a personal touch. It is an honor designing this pendant for a close and personal friend.
